Plano, Texas—February 10, 2015—Inuvio is pleased to announce that ScanCloud, the industry-leading patient check-in solution, now supports smartphones and tablets, in addition to scanners. With this update, partners can add Intelligent Card Reading to desktop applications, mobile check-in apps, patient portals and even back-office RCM systems. ScanCloud with camera support works with multiple image types and resolutions from various devices, extracting patient data and quickly delivering it to a PM/EHR application. With mobile device use growing significantly, user training can now be as easy as “point and shoot”.
ScanCloud is a web-service that accepts images of driver’s licenses, insurance cards and other documents, reads and extracts data from the images and returns the information to partner applications. Every PM/EHR application can use a simple web API to automatically read patient cards at check-in, reducing data entry errors, reducing denials and improving front desk workflow.
