Data Strategies’ MDsuite Receives ONC-ATCB Certification by Drummond Group

12-23-2010 Poway, CA – Data Strategies’ MDsuite has received the federal government’s “meaningful use” stamp of approval by earning Complete EHR Ambulatory Certification. This designation officially deems the Electronic Health Record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group’s Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“The certification validates that our software can help providers take part in the electronic revolution that is reverberating across the healthcare industry. Healthcare providers can now leverage our software to not only make significant care improvements but to also achieve meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA. We are proud to offer providers the opportunity to truly improve care in their communities,” says Les Jacobs, CEO.

Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology — a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.

MDsuite, which met the requirements for Complete EHR Ambulatory Certification, is a software program that manages all aspects of the modern healthcare practice. It includes completely integrated electronic health records, billing, remittance, collections, and scheduling using a streamlined, intuitive interface. Unlike many programs that were patched and re-worked or do not have a complete system, MDsuite was designed from the start to help providers achieve meaningful use using one complete system.

MDsuite calculates level of service enabling providers to code correctly according to the content of their notes. MDsuite provides clinical alerts in real-time. These alerts can be based on the provider’s own clinical decision rules and can help avoid forgetting key clinical information. MDsuite also provides quality measure alerts (PQRIs) in real-time helping to keep providers on track towards meaningful use. Quality measure reports can be generated at any time so that providers can easily and quickly assess their quality measures. MDsuite clients may take advantage of a fully integrated patient portal that allows providers to communicate to their patients and for patients to communicate to them the modern way – through a safe, secure web connection.
